The Yachay Waqaychaq Journey | Sedona, AZ |
November 28th-December 1st
The Yachay Waqaychaq Journey is a vibrant cultural celebration of connecting ancient indigenous traditions of the Americas. Yachay waqaychaq means “guardian of wisdom” in the Quechua language. By strengthening the spiritual connection between North and the South through ceremony and intercultural exchange, we are collectively empowering sacred knowledge to be cultivated and passed forth to the next generation of traditional wisdom keepers. Join us for this gathering of Elders including Doug Simons, Randolph Junior Thompson (Navajo Elder) and Q’ero Peruvian Elder, Juan Gabriel Apaza Lunasco amongst several other special guests.
Doug will offer his services, Private Herbal Consultations, from November 29th-December 1st at Whispering Winds Land. To schedule an appointment with Doug, contact Deb Buck at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (970) 946-7223.
Within the richness of Doug’s experience he has deep knowledge to share through connecting plant medicine and your body. During an Herbal Consultation you will have the opportunity to receive knowledge and education as how to invite the foundations of balance into your life. When you have a consultation with Doug, he will invite and show you how to create necessary shifts in your diet, lifestyle, and plant medicine allies to support the shift towards balanced and vibrant health.
In addition to Doug’s services, we are so honored that Randolph Junior Thompson, also known as “Junior”, has accepted our invitation to be with us for part of the weekend, here at Whispering Winds Land!!! This is a truly blessed opportunity to receive a prayer ceremony with Junior, a time-honored Elder, who the oral tradition of his people and the spirit of this prayer ceremony he offers has been passed down through his blood line for a very long, unknown amount of time. With Junior’s love for humor, stories and humanity he is a true reflection of the heart of Oral Tradition.
Traveling from Navajo land in Shiprock, New Mexico, Junior is available November 30th & December 1st to offer prayer ceremony and doctorings for people who request them. You can request a prayer for something physical, for a challenge you are experiencing in life, or an overall blessing for your life, your children and/or your family. To schedule an appointment with Junior, contact Deb Buck at email@example.com or call (970) 946-7223.
An open invitation for all to come together in community to offer heartfelt gratitude as we honor Mother Earth, our ancestors, and elders through a beautiful multicultural, ceremonial offering at ChocolaTree Organic Oasis.
